Quilted Coat Sew Along

Have you ever wanted to make your very own quilted coat, but you're worried it will be a complete coat-astrophe? Don't worry, Lemon Quilts has you covered! (With your very own quilted jacket!)

Each month we will guide you step-by-step to constructing each piece of your coat, and once all pieces are together, Lemon Quilts will quilt them for you at no extra charge, so when you come in your pieces are all ready for cutting and assembly! Plus, that way you don't have to cut up a quilt you worked hard on, although you'll know how to do it in the future so that you can if you want to!

The sew along fee includes the pattern for the coat, quilting of your coat pieces, and 18 hours of hands on instruction ($440 value!). We will be using the Tamarack Jacket Pattern this time around.

This Sew Along lasts for 6 months, starting in June. The group meets the third Saturday of each month from 12pm - 3pm. 

Dates & Timeline:

June 15 - Sleeve 1

July 20 - Sleeve 2

August 17 - Front

September 21 - Back

October 19 - Assembly of coat

November 16 - Binding of raw edges

Fabric Requirements:

3 yards of fabrics (we will be piecing parts of the coat, so a variety of fabrics totalling 3 yards is preferred)

1/2 yard for bindings

72'' x 80'' batting of your choice

1/4 yard fusible interfacing (Such as SF101)
