T-Shirt Quilt Class

Discover the art of transforming your cherished t-shirts into a beautiful quilt! This introductory class will guide you through the essential techniques needed to create a t-shirt quilt, a perfect way to preserve memories and create a cozy keepsake. Whether you’re a seasoned quilter or a complete beginner, this class is designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to start your t-shirt quilt project. This is a perfect gift for graduations, weddings, retirements, and so much more.

During class, you'll work on sample blocks and practice techniques with guidance from an experienced instructor. You'll learn how to select, stabilize, and cut your t-shirts for quilting. Tips and tricks for arranging your t-shirts into an appealing quilt layout, and finally, learning the steps involved in assembling your quilt top, including adding sashing and borders.

You will NOT complete a quilt during this class, but you'll have all the knowledge you'll need to go home and make one yourself!

Class Materials

- Sewing machine in good working condition

- 1-4 t-shirts (please no jerseys/sweatshirts/button downs) Feel free to bring all your shirts you'd like to make a quilt out of and you can get started during class!

- Basic sewing supplies (scissors, thread, pins and/or clips, rotary cutter and cutting mat)

- 12'' x 12'' (or larger) square ruler

- Iron and ironing board (if wanted, feel free to use ours!)
