Self-Binding Blanket

The perfect gift for an expectant mother, a recent grad, or even yourself- endlessly customizable, quick, and super cuddly! We'll walk you through the making of your very own self-binding minky blanket.

Class is $20 and does not include materials. Kits or materials can be purchased at Lemon Quilts , or if you want to make a different size, you can purchase larger yardage at the store too.

Who is this class for?

Anyone who gets cold and wants a fluffy, cozy blanket

Skill level: Confident Beginner

When is it and for how long?

Class is 1 session, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

How much is it?

Class is $20 for two hours of instruction. (A $40 value!)

What will I need to bring? (Supply List)

- Sewing machine that can has a blanket stitch

- Thread, scissors

- Rulers, rotary cutter, pins or clips, etc

• Shannon Cuddle® 1 yd for main fabric

Main fabric cut to 36” x 48”

• 7/8 yds for focus fabric

Focus fabric cut to 29” x 41”

54“ x 66”Self Binding Blanket

• Shannon Cuddle® 2 yds for main fabric

Main fabric cut to 60” x 72”

• 1 1/2 yds for focus fabric

Focus fabric cut to 54” x 66”

**FABRIC MUST BE CUT BEFORE CLASS!**

• Template plastic or cardstock

• 90/14 stretch machine needle

• Polyester thread

• Fabric marker

• Rotary cutter and mat

• Micro-serrated scissors

• Craft knife

• Long, flower head pins

• Fabric clips

• Walking foot

• Basting spray

• Kai Seam Remover and/or Seam Ripper

• 24” Ruler with 45 degree angle marking
